If you'd like to delete old posts you think are no longer relevant to your forum because of their age, the Delete Old Posts link under the Manage Posts section of the admin panel is where you can go to delete those.

On the Delete Old Posts page, you'll find a listing of all message boards on your forum including sub-boards. Check the boxes next to boards containing old posts you'd like to delete, or click the Check All box to select all boards. Below the message board listings you'll find an area specifying the number of days from which to delete the old posts.

For example, if you want to delete posts from a specific message board that are over 1 year old, type 365 in the provided box and check the box of the appropriate board. Then, after you click the Remove Old Posts button at the bottom of the page, any posts older than 1 year in the boards you selected will be deleted.

Note: No sticky threads in the boards you selected will be removed during this process. If you'd like sticky threads to be removed as well, you'll have to delete them individually or un-sticky the threads prior to using the Delete Old Posts function.

Lastly, keep in mind there is no Undo button in this area. Once old posts are deleted from the forum, they will be gone for good. Be sure to double check the selections you've made before deleting.
